14 very excited students (along with 3 very excited staff) headed off to London last Thursday for The Harry Potter Trip. The trip last ran in 2019 and has been postponed until now due to Covid, but was definitely worth the wait.
After a day on the road it was great to reach the Youth Hostel at Cheshunt, settle into the rooms and then have a tasty tea. Following this, the students had a lesson in the Lodge where they discovered more about different jobs in the movie industry, completed tasks and then gave a presentation on what they had learnt.
After a very nice breakfast, it was back on the road and heading west for the Warner Bros Studio Tour at Watford.
The magical world of Harry Potter was even more stunning as many of the sets were dressed for Christmas: the Great Hall was staged for the Yule Ball; The Forbidden Forest had a covering of snow, and the huge model of Hogwarts was a winter wonderland.
There was such a huge amount of wonderful exhibits to see, interactive exhibits and fascinating information and insights into the creation for the Harry Potter films. Turning every corner to find another amazing display was a true delight.
Thanks to everyone who helped to make the trip possible.
Information will soon be handed out at school about Harry Potter 2023!
